Momi — home

Handmade jewellery · Turin

Assembled by hand, one piece at a time.

Metals, stones, fabrics and resins that rarely share a window. Made in Turin, in the same room where they are drawn.

Momi

A style, not a season.

Momi began in Turin, out of the need for a personal style and the failure to find one ready-made. Not a catalogue of categories: a way of putting distant materials next to each other. Brass and cotton. Hard stone and resin. Crystal and leather.

Every piece is assembled by hand, one at a time. Necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings leave the same hands that thought them up.

These are pieces for a Tuesday morning, not for a box waiting on an occasion. They change with whatever else is being worn, and they stay recognisable from one year to the next: hearts, stars, gold and silver chain run through every collection.

Elegance is not being noticed. It is being remembered.

The craft

Hands before machines.

A Momi piece does not come out of a mould. The wire is chosen, measured, cut, threaded and closed — one step at a time, down to the last ring. Building a necklace takes a few minutes.

All the time sits before that. The materials come from suppliers worked with for years and from whatever turns up while travelling. It is the part the finished piece never shows, and the part that decides what it will be.

Recurring materials: brass, silver, hard stone, resin, crystal, pyrite, jade, fabric, leather, coral.

The style

One piece, many ways to wear it.

The collections do not chase the season. The same necklace works over a white shirt and under an evening dress, which is why the shapes stay where they are: hearts, stars, gold chain and silver chain.

Alongside the four families — necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings — there are the one-off pieces: assembled once, from materials found once. When they are gone, they are gone.

The pieces are next door.
